H5N1 VIRUS THREAT

JAKARTA. Ministry of Health (MoH) has prepared a surveillance team on standby to take action where quick reactions if there is information avian influenza virus (H5N1).
"We continue to monitor and urged people to avoid physical contact with poultry infected with bird flu positive set," said Deputy Minister of Health, Ali Ghufron Mukti to KONTAN, Monday (17/12).
Ali said the surveillance teams are already working and ready to tackle any development of the virus in the ever booming era of the 2000s was. "Hospital almost every area was proclaimed a special room set up to accommodate patients who are suspected of being infected with bird flu," he continued.
Furthermore, Ali said, in addition to getting healthy behavior, he asked the people immediately see the signs when exposed to flu and also has had a history of contact with poultry that died from bird flu.
He said the government would try to avoid that this time the bird flu does not get worried, as before that could be Extraordinary Events (KLB). He said the thousands of birds that have died from bird flu, the government will always be ready.
